I got a call from EY GDS HR for a Consultant position who insisted me to take the test on Saturday followed by the interview with the panel (if I cleared the test) and lastly they will share a confirmation on the same day. I had both the rounds,which went well. However, after my interview got over I waited for the response but didn't recieved any. It's been a week now and the HR is not even picking up my calls. Although I am hoping for response. Does this happened with anyone else?

Anyone’s company still going through the hiring process up to Christmas? Was in the running for a role at a consultancy and had an interview scheduled for weeks. Suddenly got it cancelled with no explanation, when I reached out 2 days later the recruitment team gave little to no explanation besides ‘recruitment stopping for the year. Has left a v sour taste.
