I got an offer from industry company with only 10% no sign on bonus. Should I leave? The good side is that I don’t have to deal with busy season. The down side is that salary is not too high and their annual raise is around 3-5% and bonus is not too good (from $500 to 5%).

You will also work significantly less hours and much better work life balance . It is a no brainer. Take it and don't look back.

My goal right now is just escaping busy season. If I can’t move up as I expect, I may jump the ship again for a better opportunity. Thank you for your insight.

I feel the downside is a long-term factor compared to big4 busy season. You may only have 1 busy season in a year, but in industry you got busy every month for month-ends and likely quarter ends and year end on top of that.

OP, I also heard some of my friend took a job that turned out to be different from what they promised during the interview. They ended up leaving within half a year and had to start over with job hunting. It's best to do your due diligence before accepting, and the rest depends on your luck.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Long hours hit me pretty hard and I feel like I have no life besides work. Salary is one thing that makes me consider but with your experience, I think I make up my mind.

I moved out& rented an apt for 2 mos before signing a lease on the house I live in now. This house has a serious big problem& I've found mold here too. Continued below
