I am working with a loan agent for a mortgage account. Per the agent, I will get a credit of 1000$ once I open the checking account. It should cover the loan application fee and commitment fee. (1100$)
Here’s the catch — the account has a 24$ monthly maintenance fee. And that gets waived with the mortgage.

I have an offer for $130k for a senior attorney position in a boutique L&E firm. Also have a recruiter who thinks she can get me into another for $150-170k. Both are more than I’ve ever made (Denver, 17 yrs of experience but completely different practice areas). Any tips for countering the $130k offer for more using the other potential offer while not risking a complete withdrawal of the current offer? VOO. I predominantly use Schwab’s robo advisor and have consistently been 8% below S&P 500. (1) based on the historical performance of VOO, am I better off shifting all of my retirement and brokerage accounts to VOO? (2) how do I do that? How should I go about this?
