Curious on your thought process - from my seat I would think the more attractive option (both from lifestyle and financial upside) would be rinsing and repeating your role at something else early stage? Would be hard pressed to want to go back into client service.

Start ups / PE firms are some of the cheapest clients I’ve ever had… would be painful to center a firm’s business development strategy around that type of clientele…
I am in the middle of building something similar to what you are envisioning. The demand is there: UM have their own internal ops team and hire consultants from big firms when they want or need to; MM are pivoting to similar strategy and have A&M and AlixPartners on retainer. That leaves you with LM, which could be the sweet spot.
Of course, I spoke in highly general terms. If you have a whale client that helps. Happy to share more via DM
