I *think* that’s what they renamed their IT Audit.
I know a bunch of people who were “Risk Advisory” (i.e. IT audit) who suddenly became “Business Consultants” all at once on LinkedIn.
Internal audit job.
95% SOX controls work, WLB is generally better than external or IT audit. Expect a minimum of 45 hours a week year round, but on average probably 50-55 hours.
Unsure of compensation in HCOL. Seniors generally range from 70-85k in my city MCOL.

Interesting. Good to know. The second I see risk I think tech assurance normally, so interesting to see it mean something else.
Interestingly enough, KPMG just moved IT audit out of advisory and have renamed it “tech assurance”, which I think is a lot more honest than what all the firms (us included) have historically done with the recruiting for this area.
Unless they’re paying you $85k-$95k, and you’re comfortable telling people no/setting boundaries, not worth your time. It’s Internal Audit with most work being Sox compliance or start up Sox programs. Yes, there are some true IA projects but not as many as Sox engagements
Hi, I got an interview for the same position. (I'm also living in a hcol city.) Are you open to sharing your interview experience and how your work is like if you've started working there? I'm not in public accounting and I'm worried my background will make me less qualified.
Did you go through the interview process?
The role is focused on Internal Audit - Business side, not an IT role. If you have IT experience, you can seek those projects out. Why the interest in the move?
I like audit, but the external audit hours don’t work for me anymore.
