I graduated from a Welding Trade school about a year ago, moved to Texas, and still no luck finding a job or even getting far enough through any interviews yet. Everyone's looking for experienced and highly skilled welders, and not freshly graduated students. Not sure where I can go from here or how I can even pursue this career anymore. Does anyone have any advice or ideas I can use?

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .
