I’m about to start an internship at IBM for UX Research. I’m super excited about it, and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the design culture there or how the company is for designers? So far online I’ve only heard about the company from consultants or software engineers. For more reference I’ll be working in Austin.

If I were in your shoes, I'd consider what you need to bounce and what you're willing to accept to stay in your current job. If the offer is fair, and you're willing to leap, talk to your boss about what you need to stay. Tough decision depending on how long you were there. Good luck!
I saw this other post on here about never accepting a counter from your current employer. Mainly because they'll see you as somone willing to leave any chance you get. And they potentially don't put you on projects that are more long term. Is there any truth to this?
Sure, that’s something to consider, but they still need you enough to make an counter offer right? Them wanting you and you staying based on a counter is negotiable. “I want more X opportunities”, salary increase, promotion, etc could be a contingency right? Just keep it respectful and professional.
