I have a really bad headache today and it’s been bugging me all day. Just trying to get through this shift but it’s hard as it’s a Friday, and kinda busy as usual. How do you manage to get through your shift if you’re feeling a bit off?

Oh man, been there. I just hydrate as much as possible and slam Tylenol as needed. Not easy to do, so you've just got to try to make it through. Hope you're able to leave somewhat early and get some much needed sleep.

Wasn’t able to get off early but I did grab Tylenol and it helped… but had to take way more than I normally do because my headache just wouldn’t go away. Hate when that happens…

I typically rely on ibuprofen, even though I know that's not great for my health. I've been taking magnesium more recently though and it's totally helped me overcome my horrible headaches I used to get. I take it before bed every night, but it seems to help me throughout the day too.

Oh magnesium is an interesting supplement. I’ll have to look into it!

I drink a lot of caffeine, to be honest. On days when I'm feeling under the weather, I drink a Celsius, which I normally don't do. But I find that the caffeine really helps me when I'm powering through a tough day.

Ah yeah I’m already addicted to caffeine… but then if I drink too much I can’t sleep that night… damn caffeine addiction!!!

Generally speaking we are always short-staffed so when I get a headache or don't feel well, I still have to show up and can't go home early. On those days i just push through the best I can. Usually a little extra caffeine helps haha.

Yep. It’s hard. We are also always understaffed these days… just push through is basically what we have to do to…

I have ADD and occasionally make small mistakes in my work, like leaving a word missing when editing sentences, small formatting errors or leaving an internal comment in drafts sent to clients. All partners have been very understanding and care about the quality of my work, and no client has ever complained. Partners and clients praise my work.

But now, one partner has become super mad and when I explained ADD, he said:

Earlier this year I was making $75k as an FA and now $90k as an SFA in OC which is pretty much market value (4yrs exp - 2 in B4). I wanted that raise to $90k for a while and now that I have it, I catch myself thinking about wanting more & more money, even though I have more than enough to live out my means. Anyone else think about this often? And how can I stop?
