I have a unique name... it's still a real human name, but it's also a popular dog name. Since we have to wear nametags at work, I get all sorts of comments. But this one lady actually said, "Is that your REAL name?" Then after I said yes she went on about how it's her dog's name and I should change it! Like, what?! Has anyone else ever had a customer tell them to change their actual, legal name? Because I'm still trying to figure out what planet she's from.

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any

I had customers tell me how amazing the salads I make for them. It’s great that I can make salads that good!

Someone came in and ordered 60 bacon double cheeseburgers… my crew thought I was kidding. 😅
