I got a call from HR and offer discussion was over couple of weeks back and still waiting for them to send me final mail to release offer. May I know if they take this much time to release offer, when I did a follow up call after 10 days they said they are waiting for some approval to release offer.
Any ideas i still have chances to get offer? BNY Mellon

Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express

Budget hours were more of a guideline than an electrical fence when I started. After a couple months, people either didn't give me a budget, or didn't care. But if they give you one, pay attention to it.
You usually start working on just one type of return. They're not going to have you work on a complex consolidated return one week, expat returns for a few days, then passthroughs for two weeks. It doesn't make sense. Ask at the interview what you'll be doing. I'm guessing you're relatively new to tax, so you'll be preparing returns. A senior or manager will likely do a first review, and send it back for you to make changes. Once they're satisfied, someone higher up may do a top level review. Again, something to ask about. It'll vary by complexity.
KPMG cultures varies a LOT by whoever the leader of the group is. I've seen groups that were happy as clams, while the team next to them looked like they were considering a suicide pact. Also something you'll have to ask about, but don't ask about company culture, so much as the team's culture, and the management style of the head person. If they say work hard, play hard, you should run.
