How is the US Tax Consultant role at PwC different from Biglaw tax work?

Has anyone left big 4 or other PA firms tax transaction service groups for industry (or know of anyone)? What was the role and salary bump, how are annual bonuses/raises in industry, what is a typical work week (hours) like? I don’t think I can take this always on just to stay afloat life much longer. For context I am considered a high performer, am near the top of the salary band at my level and have a great supporting network at Deloitte. It’s just not worth it to have zero personal life.

Rental Housing/Airbnb viability. I have a small portfolio of rental properties on Long Island (NY). I rent them out to long term tenants but there is very little Airbnb activity in this market. I think the yields will increase significantly with an ABNB approach but then again these aren’t sexy locations (in Nassau County) and there isn’t much in terms of attractions that would drive renters to these areas. I have gotten a verbal offer from Facebook, but I just had my phone screen interview with the hiring manager at Amazon yesterday. I want to reach out to the recruiter at Amazon and let them know what the timeline looks like. I would much rather have the Amazon job over the Facebook one. But I’m afraid if I decline Facebook then Amazon won’t happen. I’m just completely lost.

I had a first interview last Tuesday with Amazon, which I think went well, although I still haven't heard back 6 days later and then got an OOO annual leave msg and a no response when I chased up the named colleague today. Is this typical behaviour others have experienced when dealing with the big tech company recruiters? I found Google and Facebook recruiters to be efficient and TikTok so-so, if not a little slow, but 6 days+ seems poor.
