Corporate 101: never leave a job willingly without having a job secured. Wishing you the best of luck during your search
Thanks for letting me know , but I was on sponsorship and there license got canceled
It’s been a very, very rough market out there for everybody in all job positions. My suggestion would be to rework your resume and if people are doubting how bad it is let them read some of our stories. With all my years of experience, etc. it took me eight months and I know many people that it’s taken an average of 6 to 9 months to find a position if not longer. I would utilize all Unemployment services that are available if you can. I would use all career center resources, network, call friends, etc. and just keep plugging away and please understand it isn’t you
It’s absolutely crazy out there people highly qualified can’t get jobs but also I’ve seen many jobs pay so much lower than what we were making 10 years ago
You’re not doing anything wrong. The job market has been rough. It took me about one and a half years to find the role I needed for me to succeed and flourish. Examine what you’re doing too audit yourself and figure out what you might be doing incorrectly. I would still say do any kind of job to keep the lights on and to have food on the table
Took me over 2000 applications and 75 interviews. Hang in there.
Have you signed up with CalCareers? Do it ASAP!!!!
I’d redo your resume. I’ve had 15 interviews in the last 2 weeks so there are definitely jobs out there
Wow!! I wish
I would honestly put your resume and the job posting through ChatGPT. Find the jobs you like and ask ChatGPT to use your experience and adjust your resume to be the perfect candidate for that position. And try submitting some more resumes
I'm so sorry to hear that. Have you gotten any feedback from those interviewers? It's definitely tough out there, and that's not your fault at all.
Its ironic but most entry level analyst are on sponsorship. The company I interviewed at ended up sponsoring visa of the candidate they hired. For big MNCs i have realised sponsorship isnt a problem. It's the smaller firms.
Hang in there! you are not alone. Quite a few people I know are on the same boat and are getting pressured from fam. The market is not great. But keeping a good mental and physical health at this time is super important. Have a good daily routine helps. Take this time to learn something new. Find a good support system from your friends.
I am gonna post here a comment that really I think will be helpful to you : https://joinfishbowl.com/comment_4ieijmyepf
I had to do the same thing due to a highly toxic work environment. I know everyone says don’t leave your job until you have another one and I understand the concept behind that but sometimes it’s not always possible. I ended up taking a position with a placement service for a six month contract to hire.
