The other company is offering me 24.8 total with 20 LPA fixed. DB is offering me 24 fixed, with variable as discretionary and the role is stress testing related. The role at the other company aligns more with what i do as a data scientist. What should i do

Have you ever been told off by an older attorney of color? We have one Black partner at our firm and in conversation with him this morning he told me I should work on sounding and looking "more professional" and not let my "tone" or "bad attitude" get in the way. I am a first year who just started a couple of months ago and I am literally confused all the time. I did some small work for two partners and they loved it, so put me on new deals but the mid levels I am staffed with absolutely hate the work I do. One said the work I did was laughable.
