Any work or use to work at Chartwells K12
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
Hi there! Interviewing w/Amazon for a non-tech role (Associate Category Manager aka Associate Buyer) and was asked what my salary requirements are for base+bonus+equity. Can anyone share insight on what Amazonians make in this role. I have 4 YOE and glassdoor is not very helpful.
Any feedback is appreciated 🙏 Amazon

In addition to the previous comment, research what that type of role makes in the area and take into account the size/industry of the company you are applying to. If you take other things into consideration such as time off, benefits, flexibility, growth opportunity etc. you can say “based on my experience in x, I am targeting (salary range), however x are key considerations as I seek new opportunities.” I would not share your current salary for a variety of reasons.
I heard a good way to approach this is to ask what the salary range is for the role and follow up with the question what qualifications does a person have that makes the low end and what more for the higher end them based on that you will know what to ask for because you know your own qualifications. Do not tell the truth on what you make, they do not know just pick a number within the range now that you know what you should be making.
Not sure where you live, but in some states it’s illegal for a potential employer to ask you how much you are making at your current job.
Whenever an interviewer asked me my salary requirements I always gave them a range. If they never ask I always ask for the salary or their salary range and ask If it's negotiable. No need to waste your time if their price is too low and they won't negotiate. If its negotiable and you get to the offer stage is when you negotiate your price and or benefits. If they don't budge on price then negotiate on extra PTO, signing bonuses, etc.
Ask for the salary range first, ALWAYS.
