I have worked in the dental front office role for 25 years and am considering taking a job as a dental biller working from home. Does anyone have any experience with this? What are the cons? I’m wondering if it is too good to be true…
Thanks!

I have been a dental assistant for 10 years and transitioned to dental treatment coordinator for workers compensation patients and we get to work remotely a week from home every month and it makes my day. If the weather is bad and we can’t get to the office we can work from home. Being in the dental field and finding something remote is no easy task I say leap.

I’m not a biller I’m a dental treatment coordinator but we do have a whole financial team here we aren’t fully remote as we have a location here but we have people who do work in other states that work fully remote

I found the position on Indeed. I put in the search “dental biller” and “dental revenue cycle management” for the job title, and “remote” for the location. This will pull up several jobs. Also, if you google the top dental billing companies, you can go on their websites to see available job openings. Hope this helps!

Hey guys. I used to do IB but I just left. I just recently started this new role at a tech company a few weeks ago and I got a message on LinkedIn about another opportunity that I think is a million times better. I spoke to the recruiter a few days ago and she knows I left IB but I didn’t tell her I started a new role. She asked if I have offers on the table and I said I have one offer but never mentioned my new role. What should I do?

Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

I've been a dental assistant for 11 years , and I think I'm done . I feel the pay is never enough and 9/10 we do the most work in the office . It's never commensurate to what we do and no matter how much experience you have your still 3-5$ more than someone fresh out of school . It's a skill I'm glad to know that I can always find work but the burnout for nothing isn't worth it. Can anyone relate

Hello everyone I have 29 years as a dental professional in Texas. I started as a dental assistant back in 1993. As my career progressed as a RDA, I moved to the front office and eventually management. I even taught dental assistants and became the Program Director of a DA program. COVID opened up remote work for me, I manage eclaims, claims corrections and billing for two offices. $20 per hour, no bonuses or incentives, I know I am not getting paid enough! Any input would be appreciated.

I want to go back to work in the dental field. I was an assistant for 10+ years. I miss helping people smile. But trying to find work that I can do within school hours is so hard! Has anyone found anything that is legit work from home? Either remote treatment plan presenting or helping with scheduling? I really need something from home because my husband travels so much. I’m located outside of Chicago if that helps.
