MD salary range at Huron? And bonus potential?
What's the salary range for a director at the Gilead Sciences foundation? There is a position perfect for me, but I don't want to throw my hat in the ring if starting salary isn't $180-190k. Also, any thoughts on the stability of their philanthropic commitment? There's talk of a recession; I don't want to go private to be cute a few months later.

Make sure it’s a brand you actually care about or you’ll be bored before you can say, “I’d make more at an agency."
I know the agency you’re talking about. I worked there. My advice is do your research. Sit yourself down and figure out what’s REALLY important. Money? Creative? Gymming 2x/day? Ask a fuck ton of questions. Stalk everyone in the department and their sites. Do you see a portfolio you’d want? Or a career trajectory that make you go “holy shit I want to be you.”?
IMO:
If you want big, conceptual campaigns in your book, if you enjoy the laid back agency vibe, if you love that clients don’t sit 10 feet away from you...RUN.
@ACD1 - thanks! In Chicago?
@OP, yep. That’s the one
You mean Rebecca?
Another agency will be dictating what you do. In-house will never be AOR for any of their brands and definitely not their flagship labels. If you were an AD my response would be different because I believe there are some cool design and photography things happening.
There are cool outside perks in the name of “research.” There are also fun and talented people. Do your homework, ask your questions
Good call. It is. Big spirits company. And I like/buy most of their bigger known brands. Plus - free booze I'd imagine. 🥃🍹
@acd1 - Sorry gotta ask more questions. Were you there recently when the Coke guy came aboard? Did you not like the culture or the work?
Gotchya. Ok. Thank you. It's a lot to think about.
In-house far superior to agency. The further upstream you can get in the decision making process, the greater influence you can have on the work.
