AI is great. It's a tool that can enhance work prodcut. I hear people say that they can get in trouble for using it or that they're discouraged from using it. It's foolish to punish the use of AI if it is being used correctly.
Professors have instructed students to use it to edit their documents for cover letters. Sorry to say but when it comes to jobs... and cover letters.. if thats what someone was told was okay to use then why punish them for it. The content is still correct and true it is just better written and "more polished" doesnt mean the content is a lie. Just my opinion
I have wondered the same
I think what’s going to end up happening is these AI perfect resumes are going to cancel each other out and the people using them will face a greater hurtle against people with irl connections to the hiring firm/business. I’m seeing partners at my firm skip the listing/resume process altogether in favor of calling people they’re acquainted with (asking people to lunch, golf, catch up, whatever). Their rational is they want someone who’s not just throwing their resume into a program to write most of it for them because it’s not a good reflection of their work product or effort. Silly and mistaken because the people they’re talking to could use AI too, but the old guard is stubborn and they’re not completely out of the top spots yet.
