I just accepted a new offer and I couldn’t believe how much the hiring process has changed in the last 10 years. My last job search in 2015 took about 2 months. From resume submission to start date was about 3.5-4 weeks. This time, from resume submission to start date took 15 weeks. I went through 4 different interviews (2 virtual, 2 on site) and there was so much back and forth to agree on compensation. What has changed to make the process so cumbersome these days??

Do you find that most customers you deal with are polite? I've noticed a lot of them don't even say "thank you" after I have fixed their problem... it's disheartening

I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me.
