Thank them for the offer and say you are excited about getting started, mention culture fit, blah blah. And then ask if there is any flexibility with the offer that was presented and if the recruiter could check with the hiring manager. Don’t provide a number, just see if there is flexibility first.
You can ask them if there’s any room for negotiation. If they say yes, that means you can negotiate for more. Usually if the range is within market range, they would accept it or lower a little bit.
But seek it out. There are so many different ways, ideas opinions and facts. I'll give you a fact. When you ask a question what 3 things does your brain do? Automatically in order you 🤔 think...then decided, then respond w the answer after you criticality thought about the question. Any question. I say that ti say this. You ask a lot of questions so your smart. No way you have never negotiated ? Either way it's a skill like the question right? You see what's happening? So your smart? You can read ? Or listen to podcast? But wont......Why?
Unfortunately, there's really no way to eliminate the risk. If you think you're a strong candidate, they aren't likely to write you off but you shouldn't negotiate if you aren't prepared for the possibility.
Seriously is this the right group? Sales and closing go hand in hand. Know yout worth, the laws, and who cares what the community makes. They get kickbacks for ppl that come and go. If your lazy work hourly. If you know your worth everything is negotiable. As far as making a deal or agreement just get it notarized and reviewed by a lawyer to make sure the language stands. Salary is self employed pretty much so know that..what you can write off, etc
