Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

Take the job and ‘out source’ it to this thread! I’m sure between all of us we can do a good job.
Yes sounds normal that’s how I was hired at least
I didn't really get the opportunity to ask any questions. Everything was via Teams Chat. What has been your experience with the company, do you like it, are there particular departments to watch out for?
Also how is the current tech layoffs effecting the company?
When you say by teams - did you video chat with anyone or was it all text based ?
Oh no - that’s super suspicious. I wouldn’t trust that. Remote interviewing would at least include a few video calls.
Honesty wins here. My company is Capgemini. I have not been affected at all by layoffs in fact I’ve been promoted here in tech/ fintech. I like the company and respect it. I like the people. I am on a long term project though. Not the bench.
ChatGPT interviewing or Bard?
Is the position you applied for fully remote? Any by Teams do you mean video call with camera on?
That sounds highly suspicious. I have had numerous interviews and they have all been a recruiter via call or video and every subsequent interview video. There are usually also multiple rounds.
I aplogize I should have been more specific. There was absolutely no video call. That was what made the interview a little suspect
Yes that most definitely raises a 🚩
There is no chance this is an interview with the real Plaid. Their interviews are notoriously difficult - hours of video calls, and some other assessments depending on the role - and there’s no way they would offer you a job via Teams text chat.
What were the domains of the email addresses that you corresponded with to coordinate the “interview”? What is the role? Did they give you an offer for comp?
100% chance that this is a scam; I’d stop responding or maybe report it to the real Plaid HR.
