Pivoted right back in with the other foot like a James Harden step back three when I realized I can’t do anything else nearly well enough to get paid as much as I do doing this.
I quit twice and I'm back in for the long haul. once you get a "normal" job you realize that this one isnt that bad.

I transitioned into tech in-house, and while I always had interest in it, it was also a career safety move. I was an AD and corporate career growth is important to me. Looking at the senior creative leadership across several agencies I worked at, it’s mostly writers. So I wanted to be in the business where I would have less resistance to move up.
Actually very good point. Writers unfortunately have an advantage here.
Went from art direction to UX/UI in tech. Personally I love the role and the work. The user testing, refining, modifying, figuring out the MVP, until you get to a final product ready for release.
The tech I work in have incredibly complex user problems, usecases and interfaces. I find it fun to work in because of this - my job is to lead my team to the simplest solution to complex problems.
