I left IB for tech finance because I wanted 40-hour weeks, and now I’m working 70 hours for half the total comp. The tech part of the company is just a mask for a traditional finance department that is severely understaffed. I fell for the cool office and free snacks trap and traded a clear career path for a flat hierarchy that just means I have no one to delegate to. How do I go back to a bank without looking like I couldn't cut it in the real world?

Hi there. I previously had a beautiful baby girl through IVF and emergency c-section. Now I'm in the process of completing my pre-requisites before another FET. I had my hydrosonogram, trial embryo transfer, and an overall check of my uterus. Due to my muscle thickness, they're recommending with my next pregnancy to have another c-section. Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?
