I love Paul’s writings. Some of my favorites are Romans 7 and 8. It’s specially amazing thinking of Paul, someone who you would think once he’s converted and receiving God’s word would have very little trouble fighting sin, but I’m reminded that Jesus would tell his disciples even after spending all day with him to watch and pray so they don’t fall into temptation. Since joining KPMG 5 years ago, I find that my appetite to read for my own growth is almost flatlined. Has anybody else experienced that? I attribute it to how much mental energy our work demands and how much reading I do during a business day.

During family prayer - my mom takes nearly 40 minutes every single time (this is 2x a day, morning and night). She speaks a different language and I barely understand. How can I lovingly tell her to take less time?

Anyone here suffer from depression? How do you cope with it? I recently went through a break up, and a few other personal/family issues. Hard to see what gods plan for my life is. I know god isn’t a magic genie who makes all your problems go away. Just finding it hard to reconcile that with “He knows all the desires of your ♥️ .
