In lcol, that’s properly paid. There is also no choice, EY will not negotiate
You have a comp increase coming up where you can ask where you are in your pay band.
You aren’t going to be able to negotiate.
If you want to negotiate you will need to find a new job.
Thanks ! Fingers crossed for Aug 3
When I left b4 as a manager I was at 163 base. About 185 total.
No, southeast US. Pretty LCOL low to medium
$135k is good for an M1. Where do you think you should be?
Your raise is coming up in a couple weeks
Yes, trying to gauge if I need to have a conversation on hikes.
12yoe now Texas
joined as s4 125k in Q1 2021
Aug 2021 135k
Jan 2022 agile promoted M1 150k
Aug 2022 178k
Is Texas LCOL?
I don’t think TX is, of course depends on where you live.
135 is very high. I make 94 as an M1 who was promoted early
I’m in Audit and in a LCOL.
My guess is that you are likely in the top third of the pay band. So not underpaid (based on the firms comp for M1s). Signed, an M1 in a big city at 140k who was told I was in top third of the band last august.
Depending on how many hours you work a year, it may feel like you are underpaid but it’s moreso that you are likely overworked like most of us lol
I’m a senior 2 at 157 base - what service line are you in?
Correct on both fronts - tech consulting in Hcol
The most important question is what service line? Audit is massively underpaid vs consulting
