I received an interview invitation from a big law firm asking for my availability this week. After I sent it over, the HR replied that she would likely schedule me for Thursday or Friday. However, I haven’t heard anything and today is already Wednesday, so I followed up by email this morning but haven’t received a response. Since Thursday is approaching, would it be appropriate to call or follow up again?

Does anyone have an idea on what salary should be expected when applying to a major biotech company (GSK, Novartis, J&J, AbbVie etc...) as an entry level (3 years experience) Pharmacology & Toxicology master degree with an emphasis in Drug Discovery and Development with technical expertise in electrophysiology/neuroscience domain (several published papers on sodium channels) ?

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

Had an interview at Walmart Connect and they sent over an exercise doc ( a RFP) for a role which does not heavily involve in it, and it was not discussed during the interview. Has anyone completed it before ? I told HR this is time consuming and too much since they are making you present it…

How is Flipkart for Work life balance? I have ~5 years of exp and hold an offer of 32 + Stocks. Also the expectation is to know Java but during the interview process , there was no discussion of Java or any questions asked. Although the team has asked me to invest some time in learning Java but I’m skeptical about all of this as the position is Data Engineer II so not sure how the expectations will change. Even if I invest time in learning Java I can be at a beginner level.

Should this not be the focus from HR side to get a seat allocated rather than pushing employees to report to a random office that have a seat.?

Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me.
