Ya it’s cause you don’t have Consulting exp. industry and Consulting is very different and their are a lot of people that don’t adjust well
There*
120 likely M1. There are indeed 5 levels but not necessarily going to hit all of them. Range is 120-150/60 I believe. If you're an M3 you can expect 150 I'd say.
Good luck! Def should negotiate - hopefully it’s because they need your expertise on a specific subject. Otherwise it’ll be hard to to break through. On the bright side, you might be able to accelerate faster even if you can’t get in higher than you hope, if you really have the capabilities to succeed/excel better than the homegrown managers with just 5-6 years experience. Just gotta know how to play the consulting game. You’ll find that it’s very different when it’s almost impossible to get face time with leadership (since everyone’s not in the office most of the time).
I have over 10 years of core banking and payment industry experience and I hold a master’s in finance degree.

This is not my real name.
EY1, mind sharing what level of manager would that be? I hear there are 5 levels of managers that exist within EY. Thanks!
If you have MBA you should be able to command 170-180k. They recently offered MBA grad for level below manager 145k
I would say 180k+bonus is not out of the possibility.
They pay MBAs that much. Your justification seems strong. It shouldn’t hurt to ask. It sounds reasonable.
Good luck!
