Same. It’s been ~6 years since I had THAT supervisor, but I still avoid writing progress notes. What helps is having other professionals critique my notes in general.
I left my job. Now I am seeking a great opportunity to learn something new but be respected as an individual who thinks differently than the rest.
I can so relate. ..I was making a great income but I lost myself in it. I loved the job and my first supervisor was supportive. My second one was demoted (either take this role or you terminated ....union job with the state). My first supervision she set up her office so I was in a corner and had to go past her to leave the room. As we both say down she looks at document I brought to ask her questions about...... Save document I received from another team member who uses it daily (mental health appraisal). There was a duplicate section in the heading that I received and saved it, but bright previous version....she looked at it, glared at me and repeatedly forcefully hit her finger in the section while saying one word out tap "why is this here? I told you to revive it.". I filled a complaint and it escalated to nitpicking everything (funny use and or stared, but others could etc). I unfortunately left since union didn't/wouldn't do anything.

Try to unlearn the behavior you picked up from your old manager and have confidence in your ability!
You have to stop those negative thoughts. Put in place a positive thought. Act ‘as if’ you were praised for your work.
I had the same situation and now I self doubt if I can do the job and I never did that until that manager did what he did to me. I’ve been a registered nurse for 31 years. Now I doubt myself in all jobs. Just terrible the hold that managers can build you or tear you down
