I'm overworked and I miss my family. I know some states are talking about "reopening" but I don't see an end to this.

I can't believe the U.S. has the most cases of COVID-19. I guess I should have expected it because of our population size but we had so much time to prepare and avoid this scenario.

Will our country ever be normal again?

There will be a new normal for sure

Our state opens May 4th. I haven’t seen my mom,dad or father in law for almost 6 weeks now because they are over 70yrs old I miss them. Our area just received serology test kits for COVID 19 and we will be tested next week to see if we have immunity I am sure at this point I am bound to have but still won’t risk exposing them until I’m tested and know for sure.

Something about me is both a curse and a blessing - I can't ignore what is not clear, logical, aligned, and simple. Even if that means that I have to work several minutes or hours extra on a document or an email. Things bother me if they aren't as expected. Unless I understand something clearly, I can't let it go. This is what helped me excel at studies. At work, my obsession makes it hard for people around me. If people complain about me, should I just let it go or change my approach?

I’m in discussions to become the GC of a mid size but international company that does ~$1 billion in annual revenue. Smallish legal department. They’ve asked for my comp expectations. I don’t have specific expectations but I want to be compensated at least market for a NYC based GC (which looks like cash comp of at least $300k plus bonus, etc). Any suggestions on how people would respond?

Does it bother you when someone you care about won't let you treat them (like on special occasions such as birthdays and stuff)? I don't know why it's upsetting me so much, and I'm trying to figure out what the root of my issue is. I'm getting overly emotional about it. It makes me feel like I'm making it about me vs. them, which is not what I want to do at all. On the contrary, I want them to enjoy whatever I treat them to, but this is all backfiring because I can't control my emotions.
