CBT for perfectionism. Google it. Buy a workbook. Do the exercises. Find a therapist or coach that is trained in CBT that will help you thru it if you don’t like doing it on your own with the workbooks. It really helped me
I had to give up on perfection a long time ago or I would be institutionalized by now. To me there is no such thing at least this is what I keep telling myself.
How’s your relationship with your coach? My coach and I actually both deal with this. He’s been really good at helping to call out my irrationally perfectionist worries / behaviors and helps me to keep things in perspective.
I feel like I struggle with perfectionism to such a degree that I am afraid to be vulnerable and admit any of this to anyone I know. I like everyone I know gets perfect me instead or real me at all times. Until of course I slip up or I’m just so exhausted that I do something reckless.
Also Brene Brown; I recommend her TED talks and then her books if you like what you see.
