Contact HR at the firm immediately. Don’t spend any of the money they’re giving you so you have it on hand if/when they claw it back.

Better call HR immediately then and get clarification. They usually do a year-end adjustment/recon. Perhaps they have miscalculated your PTO & severance pay.

Are you sure it wasn’t a vacation balance pay out?

No. It has been two month already

If you are good at crypto. Like really good. I’d just the money to invest in crypto. Then give the principal back to the company. Though if you are a novice just put the money in a high yield savings bank account till they come calling

like

Have you contacted the HR or payroll department? What did they say?

Send an email to HR if you don’t want to call. Doesn’t have to be a personal convo- just simply state the facts that you want to make sure your employment status is updated in the payroll system. If you’re 100% sure it’s not because you’re paid in arrears and/or severance, seems like your only logical option is to contact someone.

Hold on. Don’t contact them. Set the money aside and just leave it in a bank account for a long period of time

Obscure reference, but do you happen to own a red Swingline stapler and is your name Milton? 😂

Agree with what others have said. Contact HR and see if they actually meant to pay you. If it’s a mistake someone will figure it out sooner or later so it’s better if you bring it to their attention.

Balling🤣🤣🤷🏽‍♂️
