I have been working in the construction industry for 2 years under a general contractor. I am wanting to get into consulting and my ideal role would be something like an Associate in Major Projects Advisory with KPMG. I’m curious to know which firms/companies have positions and departments like the one mentioned that I could apply for?

CISSP - But only if you have the experience to back it up. The CISSP will get you past recruiters and into the interview pipeline, but actual security people know it’s “a mile wide and an inch deep” and will want to know more about your technical strengths.
However, to figure out which is right for you, search each cert for open jobs asking for it on LinkedIn and see which are jobs you would like to have, then figure out how to hit as many of the shared qualifications across jobs as possible for what you want.
CISSP has more weight. I would recommend getting CISA then CISSP. that’s a great combination. CISSP is higher in demand in my view.
Thank you both! I have CISA and I’m looking to grow. That’s a good point about checking LinkedIn postings- I may be a little short on the experience but hopefully I can shoot for that too and have it by the time or soon after passing (fingers crossed).
