Not at all! Like D1 said, probably want to understand your perspective more; why you think that and more about what you think is an alternative. It’ll be especially useful if you have any ideas on how to make it happen (vs just pointing out problems without offering and ideas how to fix them). Good teams are always looking for ways to make their offerings more valuable to clients (e.g. up/cross-sell) and keep their people fresh, no matter where those ideas come from.
Or you’re getting fired. But probably not.

Lol at the getting fired comment. I seriously think that every time someone higher up wants to talk to me. (You’d think at this point in my career I would be over that, but no.)
I hope that it is a positive conversation. I really like my skip level director. He’s always looking for ways to improve our teams and our people and is such a good person. My direct boss though is a little different so I am always nervous about him.
I don’t see any problem with a comment like that, as long as you sent that feedback just to him. I would assume it’s going to be a conversation about why that type of work is better, how to win more of it, and/or how to make the bad type of work less bad.
I wouldn’t worry.
So did they fire you or did you just give them the idea of the year?
