I believe that everyone, no matter where they’re from, should be able to receive care. When we start denying healthcare based on immigration status, it sets a difficult precedent that goes against the core of what we're here to do.
How does inquiring about citizenship change access to healthcare? They still get care, no matter the answer. The patient has no leagal obligation to answer the question anyway. So, as usual, the headline leads the bias but is not accurate about the facts.
Yes it's completely wrong. Our job as healthcare workers is not to deny anyone service but to provide quality medical care to everyone and anyone. I agree that the border issues are complex, and we need some real solutions, but denying medical care is a gross interpretation of solving border issues
