Some Business Intelligence/Analyst roles are very data heavy. I wonder why these roles do not have the term “data” in them, and wonder if it’s to keep the salary lower than it should be. Hi, I’m fairly new to corporate America with only several years of experience in financial services. I’m a Black female having difficulty navigating a white, male dominated field. Can someone share advice on navigating the office politics while being a POC? My question is specifically about asking tough questions to senior management. Is there specific “etiquette” to follow?

Since working in Wealth Management the most consistent advice I’ve received is “Don’t burn bridges” because apparently in WM people firm hop all the time, so you are likely to work with them again at some point.
