Since working in Wealth Management the most consistent advice I’ve received is “Don’t burn bridges” because apparently in WM people firm hop all the time, so you are likely to work with them again at some point.

What’s the most consistent advice you’ve received since working in your area?

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Better to triple check and get it right, then screw something up and have to deal with the aftermath.

Don't burn bridges is #1. The second is don't get too comfortable/complacent. The minute you think you've got something figured out and can set it and forget it, you're missing something important.
