My cousin was in finance and he would always be the one to help out our family and relatives. I wanted to be able to have the financial freedom to support my relatives as well so I chose to follow in his footsteps

Money. That’s it. I ask myself this question all the time bc I feel like the folks I work with are wayyyyy more passionate about this stuff. I’m like I’m just here to collect my check.

The money, the money, the money.
Money. It’s as simple as that.
My brother is already in Finance. When I graduated he immediately encouraged me to take the same route as him. So that's why.
I was always fascinated with money and big business so it was a natural path for me but yeah, that WLB ain't no joke for real
I was always good with numbers and interested in finance and economics. I knew a role in finance had the potential to bring in a large salary. Seemed like a no-brainer.

I hear you, financial literacy can be lacking in our community but that's also due to external factors outside of our control
I don't really know how I got here. I started in law, picked the highest grossing practice area, then ended up here. Think it was a natural progression and I followed the money.
Im in DCM. My role is Structuring, so client origination, structuring & execution is my focus.

My dad was also in Finance back in the day and honestly the only thing that motivated me to go down the same route was the money. Some days are worse than others but I don't really see myself doing anything else.
Really enjoyed math as a kid, and wanted to be an engineer til the 3rd grade where i went to a Bring your kid to work day event at a Bank. My friend’s dad could take 2 kids and he was an only child so he brought me. Changed my view point on what i wanted to do when i grew up so in the 4th grade I knew i wanted to work in Finance.
Got to high school and researched starting salaries right out of school and was sold from there.
