I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

Shopify, Shopify, Shopify. It's the most intuitive, has the largest integration library, and is by far the most in-demand platform for ecomm jobs. WC isn't bad, it's just nowhere near as good as Shopify IMO. Apparel space is super crowded (obviously), but if you're looking to test concepts without investing a lot, I'd recommend going the POD route with Printify or Printful.
I have a side business where I sell prints, and I started out on Etsy but they take a huge cut of the profits, so I ended up switching over to Shopify. I like it a lot. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but it's actually a pretty simple and straightforward platform. It's the one I recommend if people ask me how I run my website.
Shopify is probably your best bet under $50/month if you want something clean, quick to launch, and beginner-friendly. It handles hosting, payments, design, etc. perfect for testing digital marketing ideas without tech headaches.
I wanted to start playing around too and went with Wix for my website needs. It wasn’t for ecommerce though so not as helpful in that sense. I don’t really know as much about WooCommerce, it seems like it is very serious though and if you just wanted something light to start out with, maybe a bit more than necessary.
