I just want an official email of whether I get it or not so I can move on 😆
I’d follow up with the partner who interviewed you. Recruiters are useless per usual
I waited almost 2 months for my offer. It turns out that the partner I was going to work for was out on medical leave. It happens. I was still in school at the time so I wasn’t in a huge rush.
I talked to the recruiter and he told me like they only have manager position open right now so the internal is working on having senior position (which I applied for) so they can get my offer go through or whatever stuff they make up. My case seems like the one Director 1 mentioned. I applied for special group.
I interviewed at pwc on Monday and already got an offer letter. I think you should move on.
You applied for core tax?
Did the recruiter give you a number when he gave you verbal offer? I would check your application status in workday. If it changed from interviewing to in progress, your offer letter might be sitting in the system waiting for approval. My offer letter came in about a week after my recruiter told me he submitted in the system.
Just checked, still at interviewing
The thing is he didn’t give me the verbal offer. He said it’s not official yet so he can’t give me the offer yet but he did tell me about the salary and all that stuffs. I mean a week makes sense but mine has been a month 😂
You are right. That’s what I realize as well
Definitely move on. The grass is NOT greener on the other side and some firms are so desperate for staff that there are many, many lies being told by recruiters to potential candidates. Maybe the recruiters don’t realize these are lies since they are not in the weeds doing the client facing work. Consider yourself lucky to have dodged this bullet. Also, something similar once happened to me, and it turns out the firm had enacted a sudden hiring freeze and didn’t have the decency to follow up with me for over a year.
Thank you for your words. I think I should move on at this point.
