You’re basically describing advertising since the beginning of time.
Then all of the sudden, Patagonia sued the government because of national parks. It might have been because it was a hot topic, but I also believed this was who the brand was.
How can we help brands stop creating a false image of themselves because it makes their bosses happy, and wastes time and money; and is it actually possible to show brands who they really are, so they can appeal to people to who like them for themselves.

Example #1: Burger King creates awareness for social issues. But that’s like Harley Davidson saying they believe saying their hybrid. Is it who they actually are, or what they think will make them relevant.
Just like selfies, when you only post things based on the way you see yourself, versus who you actually are, people will see right through you.
Feel free to shit all over this. But it’s something that has been lurking inside me because of far too many bad experiences.
