When one door closes another one opens .. this fully might be a blessing in disguise maybe that firm wasn’t the best fit for you but who’s the say the next firm won’t be the best fit? Don’t let this discourage you from applying to other PI/Litigation paralegal positions.
The best of luck to you OP ! 🩷

You weren’t trained, so how could you be expected to do the job? It was the firm’s responsibility to train you to be able to do what they need.
I don’t know the area that you’re in so I can’t attest to how long it will take you to find a new job but don’t let it keep you from going back. I can understand taking a small break in order to decompress from things, but if this is a field that you want to be in – just roll with it and keep on going!
We’ve all dealt with shitty attorneys and shitty support staff so just understand that you’re not alone in this.
Check out Paralegal Bootcamp. It might give you the extra edge you need.
You will be fine; PI jobs are the most posted; go on indeed, go active on LinkedIn, reach out to law firms, attorneys and tell them you’re looking for a position; if you can, buy the premium LinkedIn until you land a job so you can message the person directly; do not use a recruiter as PI firms are super cheap when it comes to this; you would be the first to be let go due to the cost; if you do it correctly, you should be able to walk out of an interview with an offer/job or at least a secured offer call; also here on FB you can ask for a referral; don’t be shy; I did PI for a while then returned to biglaw;
don’t feel discouraged; it’s just another phase you must go through to get to a better place that’s all; it’s all for the better, believe me;
PI is so easy, though…
You must be trolling, especially commenting with the name of a defense firm as your handle.
