Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?

You already have solid hands on experience. An internship makes sense, but don’t undersell yourself either. A lot of teams would call this entry level operations or customer success and skip the intern label entirely.

That’s a solid foundation. Your experience managing multiple channels and keeping communication organized will translate well to an internship. Highlighting your eagerness to learn and contribute shows you’re ready to grow. Have you started reaching out to companies yet?

Unless the position that you’re looking for is a step up from what you’re already doing, I think you should just go for a regular position and not an internship. It’s all about what you want, but it sounds like you already have a grasp on it.
