Hello All, I have offer in hand of 27.5 LPA+15% variable from ZS Associates as a BT Solutions delivery consultant and now my current company is ready to retain me by matching the offer & assuring that they will send me onsite to UK in couple of months. Now I am in a dilemma of what to do as I have been looking for onsite opportunities for my entire career so far. Kindly share your thoughts. I would just leave, is not worth it fighting for a higher salary if the gap is too big.
I’d just say you have been studying the market and the new base is not competitive with other firms. If asked to produce your basis for measurement then give them your other offers. You can be clear that you don’t want to leave but that you want to be fairly compensated for your efforts. I would not expect them to exceed those other offers but at least get within 5 % of them. If I were you I’d have a hard time continuing to deliver if I felt so overwhelmingly under compensated.

What % did u get?
I got a 35% bump due to promo to what matches the median for the level & region . I have offers that go anywhere from 60% to 90% higher on the pre-promo base.
We’re not great at matching or beating offers with that type of increase in my experience. Especially after already receiving that big of a raise.
