I work specifically with fixed annuities. I like the work and the fact that I’m not required to be FINRA licensed since they’re not tied to the market, but I’m starting to sour on my company. Does anyone have any suggestions for great employers to look into that work within this space?

If you're looking for something that's not high pressure, you might consider the mutuals. There's NY Life, Mass Mutual, Pacific Life and perhaps some others. I assume they all have careers sections on their websites, poking around there may inspire a job search strategy.

Honestly, the job market is trash right now. I would look at companies that are hiring and then do your research on those specific companies. It might be easier to find a role that way.

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].

I applied to a job at KPMG and did the first two rounds of interviews, general interview, then case study and competency. Never before have I had such a positive feedback at the end of an interview of the 2nd, both said really like me, I did well etc.
It's now been 3 weeks since the interview and I still haven't heard back from the team other than the odd HR email saying they are following up with them. Is there something going on internally, I.e hiring freeze in the London office atm?

As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?
