I received an offer from IBM Bangalore. However I saw openings at my preferred location Kochi only after the interviews. I called the HR after getting their point of contact mail and I asked if it's possible to switch. They said I'm already tagged to a project and that they'll check from their end if it can be done.

I had my LWD on 27th june ,before a week of that i had HSbC last round in which I clearly told I wanted to join by 4th july as my next joining is due at that time.
HR agreed and told will fast track your bgv .
Now the problem is they released offer for 11thJuly saying will preponed in case bgv finished early.
Today I again got a mail for 18th july extension.

Am quite worried here now, as I already said no to other companies !should I try looking again.

I'm in salary negotiations for a great role, but there's a small gap (~$10k) to even match my old salary. They have most of the obvious benefits like unlim. vacation, low healthcare premiums, 401k matching, permanent WFH, etc.

Right now, severance pkg. and a more senior title are most important. Has anyone negotiated a title bump? Outcome?

There is an opportunity that I’m currently interviewing for that is very interesting to me. I’m interviewing two other places but I’m not responding to LinkedIn emails for other positions. The other positions don’t interest me as much. On one hand I don’t want to waste time prepping for all positions and rather put that time only for the ones that I have going on, on the other hand I feel like what is that falls through. Wondering if I’m making the right choice

For B4 - For teams with temp (contractor) seniors - I’ve noted that they are held to the same work quality standards of normal full time seniors, while not getting any of the senior trainings or perks that would go with that perm role (just some basic survivals trainings at best), nor the access to the perm positions once they prove they can do the job. Then heard they are viewed as little higher than outsource teams (i.e., the offshore teams only given non-judgmental work). What’s your opinion?

Exit opportunities from SALT - partnership focus? Starting to get worried that the opportunities are too slim and debating leaving for a federal position (even if at a lower title) to gain experience. Anyone have experience with this? Looking for advice. Based in the Bay Area and have 3.5 yr exp in IT Audit mostly SOX with a little SOC exp (ex big 4, couple of regionals) and have been applying to industry (mostly tech companies) since May. made it to final interviews only to find out hiring freezes were in effect or they went with a LCOL candidate.Would like to exit to a GRC role or a mixed role thats 50% sox, 50% varied projects, or a SOX role if the team culture is good. No luck getting in non sox work at current firm.

But in my current position, we’ve been adding quite a few new projects (and our team is partner, two staff, and me) that will probably start over the next couple of months. I don’t think my boss has any idea I’m looking to leave - anything I should do to not feel guilty about potentially leaving them short staffed with a ton of work? Is this something you think about when looking to leave?
