Besides the commission they got for doing their job? Not generally.

No. They just got paid.

If anything they should get you a gift

I had a recruiter get me a gift when I switched firms! Haha, just a jar of M&Ms, but it was nice to receive

like

That’s like giving your realtor a gift when you buy a house

like

While that is very kind of you, absolutely not. Recruiters are grateful for YOUR relationship and being able to work with you. Also, a good Recruiter should treat you to lunches, coffees, happy hours, and extend networking opportunities throughout your relationship. Trust me...they are just happy to have your business.

like

Nope

Why on earth would you get a recruiter a gift??I’m working with a recruiter for a role that’s under my desired salary, and they just offered a small sign-on bonus from the recruiting company to sweeten the deal and incentivise me to take the job

I figure the fees and, if they did a great job, referrals to other professionals I know wanting a recruiter is a good payment as it can leads to more of those commissions.

Just want to cry out here.🙃

I'm not good at my tech stack. I've somehow managed to perform all my tasks without any escalation/blunders but that also by some help/googling.
I also managed to switch from an Indian mnc to a reputed company and now also somehow cleared a FAANG interview, but i know I'm not much knowledgeable in my tech .

I often fail at some interviews badly.
Not sure till when I'll be able to carry forward by this and the hard wlb at FAANG companies is giving me a fear.
