I would take RSM
Because 60% is much better than 25%. Granted being a Big 4 partner is more lucrative than an RSM one but an RSM partner is more lucrative than a Big 4 Senior Manager lifer.
Being a big4 partner sounds awful, NGL. Mid market is more fun
What’s your question?
Deloitte 100% but I think your percentages are suspect.
If you’re worked in both firms and you think your odds are 25% for Deloitte, then your real odds are likely closer to 10%. RSM is notorious for bringing in big4 partner rejects as either direct admits or slots them ahead of their own teams for promotion.
Remember that there’s a lot of luck and good sponsorship involved in getting to partner, so pick the firm that gives you the best chance.

Looking at any partnership probability 4-5 years out is useless exercise… too many external factors. Revisit this question in 2-3 years.
Whoops. 25% chance you make partner in 5 years at Deloitte.
Audit or tax? I’m seeing longer wait period at Big 4 and that will continue if the economy declines at all. Big 4 feels that first.
I’m seeing more retirement replacement partners being made than growth partners. I’m not big 4, so this is just coming from people I interview for similar roles.
Your comp bump is minimal. Also, there 20 people that are just like you at Deloitte (have been there) waiting for that slot to open up. You better believe that you are better than 95% of people around if you think you going to make it to partner there.
Former RSM partner - Stay away! The culture and overall firm has gone down significantly the past few years.
