I have an offer from Capco, it was much lower then I expected for the SC level EA at £80k. I'm at a stable role at a bank with a great WLB. My wife is a front line work. So I can take care of the baby, with the next coming soon. My dilemma is, become a consultant or stay where I am at. Consulting looks attractive as I would be speed up my career progression. Though the travel costs and child care does not warrant the base salary Capco Should I take the hit and join capco?

Stay quiet.
Yep keep that to yourself. You'll have a really different perspective of everything and everyone in your last busy season. It'll probably be a relief to emotionally detach as you go through the motions, get paid, realize how it's just a job, and secretly know that all the indignities and other annoyances you can't stand, soon won't matter anymore.

Would you tell your spouse you were planning on dumping them in a few months? LOL
Coach
They got a point tho
Do not say anything until 2 weeks before your last day.
The consensus is clear, i clearly need to get out of my head on this. It's like leaving an abusive relationship.
Where did you go? I want to leave but I don’t know where to go

Stay quiet
I gave notice way too early and would strongly recommend staying quiet. And then DM me if you want an exit opportunity with the Siegfried group 🙃
Damn, so I’m guessing they were hired in as associate manager? Yeah I’m familiar with the 5 yr comp. That’s a great base salary though!
Stay quiet. If you tell them, you will feel different treatment whether people intend to or not. You won’t be one of them anymore
Why would you quit after busy season and not before? All those extra hours for nothing…
Quiet for sure
Don’t do it! You’ll be treated differently. I did that and told the partner, worst mistake ever. I’d actually advise you to quit before or beginning of busy season!
I gave notice a few months early (it was a unique situation cause I was leaving for the same company in another country - different legal entity so technically I was resigning locally). Anyway, they put me on a 6/30 busy season right after getting out of 12/31 YE busy seasons. Doing things out of the kindness of your heart is NOT rewarded in PA.
Stay quiet. I left audit for FAAS so internal transfer and thought I was being nice by giving them notice way ahead (3.5 months). They took complete advantage of me and worked me like a slave trying to squeeze every last drop they possibly can.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Don’t say anything. When you find another job, you give them the required notice (2 weeks for most people) - no more - no less.
People will definitely treat you differently.
How do you know for sure you’ll leave? Do you already have an offer? If you tell people now it will be really presumptuous. What if something happens in a few months and you aren’t able to leave?
No upside to you if you show your hand
Stay quiet…tried to do what I felt was the right thing and it’s been very difficult to leave since. Two weeks IS professional courtesy and THE expectation (nothing more than that…you’ll thank me later).

Would your firm give you 6 mos advance notice if they were planning to let you go?
Mum is the word.
Stay quite
