That all comes down to how much risk you want to take on. This job market is difficult and it's not the time to gamble on finding something, especially anything that involves risk. People are saying it's a "no hire, no fire" economy and that sounds about right. It's not a bad time to be comfortable in one's job.

That’s a really fair point. It’s definitely not the easiest market to be taking big risks in right now, which makes the “stay comfortable vs. try something new” decision even harder. Part of me knows stability isn’t a bad place to be, but it’s tough not to wonder what else might be out there.

That makes sense. I do have a bit of a buffer, not a ton, but enough to think about it. Still not sure if it’s worth taking the risk though, especially in this kind of market.
I am choosing the comfortable, stable life. I have kids and a family so I don't take the risks anymore. When I was younger, I definitely would have fhosen the uncertain life full of growth an dpotential.
