Software does not equal design. A good designer with knowledge of graphic design theory can create amazing stuff in any software platform.

While it may not be a robust software or industry preferred design choice, what you are saying sounds super petty. Like somehow knowing Figma, Photoshop or any other software makes you a designer? I can use a pencil and be a designer, dingus.
It’s like saying you can’t make art from ASCII. I like using canva

There are best practices and industry standards but you can achieve great things with most mediums. Should you use Canva over other tools? Probably not.
