That most people in the room are rooting for you. That for clients, creative presentations are often the best part of their day and they’re supposed to be “fun”. That I know the work almost better than anyone and actually have no reason to be nervous. That we’re all just people experiencing life together, and that presenting is kind of just like a conversation, and that conversations throughout the day aren’t scary so why is this moment different than others? I don’t get nervous talking to my barista, or the guy at the bank, or the associate at Aritzia, or when my neighbors randomly make conversation in the elevator.
I understand that not everyone will think like this, but once I got over the hump that I’m actually NOT under a microscope and this is all just basic communication, it’s been a way way way different experience.

That’s so nice, thank you.
Presenting more.
That’s it, basically. The only way to get better at something is deliberate practice.
One thing that did help me, was remembering that my audience has no idea how my presentation is “supposed to go.” As long as I speak confidently enough, most people will assume I’m doing everything intentionally.
Practice. And realizing that clients are actually people just like you who have probably felt the same anxieties at some point and ultimately just want to be talked to like regular human beings
Drugs. Specifically, two propranolol an hour before. Helps me find words I didn’t know I had. Got mine from Kick. Easy process! https://www.gokick.com
Can’t say I’ve conquered all of them, but I’ve seen some improvement. Even had a CD whose work I really admire tell me really enjoys watching me present.
I’d rehearse some key emotionally driven things to say going into it: why it works, what it evokes in viewers and why the brand is a perfect fit for it.
I’ve also had to train myself to give less of a fuck, slow things down and see it as a conversation. And not to read verbatim when I get nervous.
Just my experience so far.

Sit in a quiet room and record yourself presenting. It won't be fun, but listen to it! You'll be amazed at how many ums and uhhs, and off track you can get. Make them feel something and then pay that feeling off w/ the work. This idea is really about feeling.... To do that we created.... Do it as many times as you need to in order to know your script. You're a writer so you know how it needs to feel. Bob Dylan said, "I know my song well before I start singing." He knows stuff.
Personally, it was having a good team and knowing that if I stumbled, someone would pick me up.
